Rent an e-chopper near Hotel Havezate Marveld

With wide tyres, a comfortable riding position and electric power, an e-chopper ride is a fun activity with friends, family or as a couple. From Groenlo, you can quickly head out into the peaceful countryside of the Achterhoek.
Reserve your e-chopper
E-chopper rental at De Blanckenborg
The e-choppers are rented from De Blanckenborg and are available during its opening hours. They can be hired for one half-day period:
- 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
- 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm
The price is €35 per e-chopper, including a helmet. A fully charged e-chopper has a range of approximately 30 kilometres.
Who can ride an e-chopper?
To ride an e-chopper, you need a valid driving licence that includes category AM. We therefore recommend checking your licence before your stay.
Helmets are compulsory for both riders and passengers. Children up to and including 10 years old may ride as a passenger with an adult.
Discover Groenlo and the Achterhoek
An e-chopper gives you plenty of freedom to explore the area during your stay. From Hotel Havezate Marveld, you can easily ride into the historic fortified town of Groenlo, where old moats, fortifications and atmospheric streets reflect its history during the Eighty Years’ War. It is a lovely place to stop for a short walk or a drink on a terrace.
From there, continue into the green countryside of the Achterhoek. You could, for example, head towards Zwillbrock and the Zwillbrocker Venn nature reserve, or take inspiration from a route themed around the Eighty Years’ War, linking several historic locations in and around Groenlo.
